Beef & Cheese Empanadas, 1 Hour Khachapuri, Sweet Plantain Honey Cake
A hearty bake for you this weekend
This week’s recipes are for paid subscribers only. Free subscribers have access to recipes on the first weekend of every month. July 5th is the next free recipe weekend.
Next Thursday, June 26th we will be having our next Live Baking Workshop! You’ll want to tune in for this, as I will be showing you how to make “Instant” Sourdough.
Even in the midst of a hot summer, my oven still runs 24/7. I’m closing in on another book deal, which is exciting, and at the same time testing recipes for a product launch that I’ve been working on for quite some time. I’ve also got a call with a network to jump back into the TV game, but I can’t say much about that right now. Most importantly, I’ve been getting into an incredible groove creating delicious, 1 hour bakes for YOU.
(And yes, I have been working behind the scenes on creating my own line of stone ground flour mixes and blends. This is a tedious process that takes some time, but as promised if you are a paid subscriber, you’ll be the first to know about how to get it.)
Somehow my little guy is already 5 weeks old, and I’m realizing that each instance I’ve been told that time will fly and to cherish every moment has been 100% spot on. Soon, I’ll be cooking and baking for my son and I can’t wait to share those recipes and thoughts with you. I’m sure I’ll have to be really efficient with my time when it comes to baking and parenting, which I’m exited to dive in to.
This weekend’s batch of recipes are a mixture of hearty, savory bakes that pair well with a delicate, easy to assemble dessert. I’m talking about the quickest of quick recipes right now, that yield mouthwateringly incredible hand pies, a fun flatbread called Khachapuri that originates in Georgia (the country), and a honey cake that can last for days if stored correctly.
